A website is the first point of contact with a potential customer, as most people look to the internet for opinions before making purchases online or in store. Any unauthorised changes to a site can damage the reputation of the business, and seriously compromise its relationship with users.

MSCprotect's Defacement Monitor identifies any unauthorised changes made to a corporate website, and instantly notifies the customer. Website defacement refers to an attack which: 1) replaces the content on your website with potentially offensive or erroneous graphics and text or, more seriously, 2) places imperceptible code on your site, which is activated when a user accesses it, often triggering a download of malicious code onto the user's hard drive which may subsequently be controlled by a hacker remotely, creating an unsuspecting botnet.
